Anthony Ornato has left the Secret Service.
After a decades-long career with the Secret Service — which included a stint working with former PresidentDonald Trump— Ornato, who most recently served as the USSS' assistant director, resigned from his post Monday,CNNreported.
“I did retire today to pursue a career in the private sector. I retired from the U.S. Secret Service after more than 25 years of faithful service to my country, including serving the past five presidents.

“I was in Daytona Beach, just up the road from the Kennedy Space Center, and we went outside and watched,” she recalls in the Generation X portion of the new four-part NBC News Studio documentary,My Generation.

Despite the headlines about beingstranded in space, Sunita “Suni” Williams and Barry “Butch” Wilmore are more than up to the task, according to former NASA astronaut Scott Kelly, who once spent almost a year on the International Space Station.
Williams, 58, and Wilmore, 61, have been in space since June 5, when they set off for what was supposed to be an eight-day trip to the International Space Station, but due tomechanical issueswith theirBoeing Starlinershuttle, NASA recently announced that theearliest they’ll be able to go home is February 2025.

The Boeing Starliner that took Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams to space recently made a safe return to Earth, but the NASA astronauts are not upset to have not made the trip.The Starlinerlanded without a crewearly on Saturday, Sept. 7, according toNBC News, about three months after itlaunched on June 5with Wilmore and Williams on board.
