Greta Gerwigwas left out of the Best Director category, while starMargot Robbiewas absent from the Best Actress category.
Despite helming theNo. 1 movie of the yearat the box office, Gerwig, 40 wasnot recognized in the directing category. She was, however, nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay, along with her husband and co-writer,Noah Baumbach.

Barbiewas a big-screen smash— but now you canbinge it from the comfort of your couch!
The film was first announced in 2016, with Amy Schumer originally attached to star, however, after a few switchups with the creative team, the movie took on a whole new form, and audiences loved Gerwig’s subversive but sweet take on the doll’s journey out of Barbieland (and back).
“We invent things like dolls to explain to ourselves what it means to be human… Part of me wondered if there was a way that we could allow the doll to also have that humanity,”Gerwig teased to PEOPLE about the film.

Barbra Streisandis remembering her former costar and onetime beauRyan O’Nealas “funny and charming” in the wake of his death.
The legendary star, 81, paid tribute to O’Neal, with whom she enjoyed a brief romance in 1970, on Instagram Friday, shortly after his son Patrick O’Neal announced that the actorhad died at age 82.
