On Tuesday, after the Nets parted ways with head coach Steve Nash,Shams Charaniaof The Athletic andESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowskisaid that the NBA team was readying to hire Udoka, 45.
Udoka, who held an assistant coaching position with the Nets before the Boston Celtics hired him last season, was suspended in September after news brokethat he allegedly had a consensual intimate relationshipwith a woman on the Celtics staff.

Two young brothers have turned themselves in to authorities, in connection with the beating death of a 73-year-old man in Philadelphia.
The boys, ages 10 and 14, were among seven juveniles captured on video who allegedly assaulted James Lambert with a traffic cone on June 24 in the northern area of the city,ABC NewsandNBC Philadelphiareport.
“The teens struck the victim several times with objects, knocking the victim to the ground causing injuries to his head,” the Philadelphia Police Department said in astatement.

The NFL and the NFL Players Association agreed to suspend Cleveland Browns quarterbackDeshaun Watsonfor 11 games and fine him $5 million for violating the league’s personal-conduct policy.
Watson will also have to undergo a mandatory behavior evaluation and enter a treatment program, theNFL announced on Thursday.
“Deshaun has committed to doing the hard work on himself that is necessary for his return to the NFL,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement.
