After forging a friendship in the early 2000s when they were introduced through mutual friendJon Lovitz, Handler and Koy’splatonic relationshipblossomed into a romance. The fellow comedians reconnected at the end of 2019 and officially began dating in August 2021. They made their relationship public that September and shared plenty of sweet moments before they eventuallywent their separate waysalmost a year later.

The formerChelseahost, 47, shared via Instagram on Monday that she and Koy have split.
Posting a video that the two planned to share on their one-year anniversary, Handler wrote in the caption, “It is with a heavy heart to announce that we have decided together that it is best for us to take a break from our relationship right now.”
A source tells PEOPLE that those close to the pair do hope this is a temporary situation.

Chelsea Handler’s newest project is almost here — and it features a collaboration with her ex,Jo Koy.
On Monday,Netflixannounced that the comedian, 47, will return to Netflix with a new comedy special titledRevolution. The anticipated event will premiere on Dec. 27, 2022.
“The celebrated, award-winning comedian lets loose on her life – including her choice to remain childless and alone (with the exception of her dogs), dating during the pandemic while her family invades her home, and her vision for a future where men don’t wear flip flops,” reads a logline from the streamer.

Chelsea Sodaro ended America’s victory drought when she won the Ironman World Championship women’s race on Thursday.
The 33-year-old mom, who gave birth to daughter Skylar just 18 months prior, won the race with a time of 8 hours, 33 minutes, and 46 seconds in Kona.
Sodaro, who had never made it to Ironman World Championships until this year, toldNBC Sports, “My mind is a little bit blown right now,” after her win.
