A doting grandfather and dad of eight has been identified as one of the victims of themass July 4 shootingin Highland Park, Illinois.

A grandmother and her toddler granddaughter are facing cancer at the same time.
“It was the most surreal thing,” Fivecoat, 62, toldGood Morning America. “We were literally running from MD Anderson to Texas Children’s, trying to just get there.”
Fivecoat’s daughter, Shelly McAfee, and her husband, Tyler McAfee, were told that Whitney had been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), which is a cancer of the bone marrow and the blood, after she had swelling and bruising around her eye that later spread to her other eye.

A grandmother in Ohio is accused of intentionally shooting her five-month-old granddaughter in the face.
Mia Desiree Harris, 43, is facing multiple charges of felonious assault in connection with the shooting of the infant early Saturday, according to a Butler County Sheriff press release.
Police were called to a townhouse on Dutch view Court in Liberty Township for a report of “an infant being shot” around 1:50 a.
