A 7-year-old boy collapsed on a YMCA sports field in Maine this week after he had a sudden cardiac arrest, according to his parents. The Bath Area YMCAsaid in a Facebook postthat the child was part of their youth sports program and “collapsed while playing on the field” on Tuesday, Sept. 17. “Staff immediately performed CPR and called paramedics who quickly responded and transported the child to the hospital,” their statement added.

The girl was in the vessel with her grandfather and great-grandfather when it capsized at LaSalle Lake State Fish and Wildlife Area, Ill. on Sunday, Aug. 18, per apress releasefrom the Illinois Conservation Police. Clarence B. Royster, 80, Clarence B. Royster III, 53, and the 7-year-old girl were on a 17-foot Crestliner fishing boat when it began to capsize.
