An 8-year-old boy who went missing for over a day while his family was visiting a national forest in northern Arizona has been found safe.
The sheriff’s office said that the boy’s family reported him missing at around 6:15 p.m. local time, and the office’s search and rescue unit looked for him through the night, reporting that he had last been seen on foot at the cave’s entrance.

A pool at a Houston hotel has been shut down after an 8-year-old girl was found dead after going swimming there over the weekend.
Detectives said the child “was swimming with other family members in a lazy river style swimming pool” at the hotel on Northwest Freeway when she disappeared Saturday evening, according to a news release from theHouston Police Department.
The child was reported missing around 5:45 p.m. local time, and her body was found “inside a large pipe in the pool” around 11:30 p.

After getting lost, an anxious girl used an ATM to reunite with her family.
The 8-year-old child in Quzhou, China, got separated from her grandfather on July 30 after leaving a dance class, according to theSouth China Morning Post. Unable to find him, the girl found an ATM kiosk, where she pressed an emergency button and was connected to the bank’s call center.
The girl told a Quzhou Rural Commercial Bank employee on the call that she was lost and did not know the phone numbers of her family members.
