While King Charles, Princess Anne and Prince Edward wore military uniforms, Prince Andrew appeared in a suit. Buckingham Palace confirmed on Monday thatonly working members of the royal family will wear military garbto events leading up to and includingQueen Elizabeth’s funeral. A special exception has been granted for the Duke of York to wear a military uniform at the final vigil as a sign of respect for the late monarch, who “peacefully” died at age 96 on September 8.

Funeral arrangements forQueen Elizabethhave been unveiled.
On Saturday, Buckingham Palace announced that the late monarch will behonored with a state funeralon Monday, September 19 at Westminster Abbey in Central London. It will be the first time a monarch’s funeral has been held at Westminster Abbey since the 18th century.
The Queen’s coffin is currently lying at rest in the Ballroom at Balmoral Castle, where family members and royal household staff have been paying their respects and quietly remembering the late Queen.

The Queen’sfamily membersare set to process with the coffin three times: as it moves into Westminster Abbey, then more than a mile to Wellington Arch and finally to Windsor Castle, where she will be laid to rest following 70 years as sovereign.

Buckingham Palaceannouncedon Friday that Lady Susan Hussey met with Ngozi Fulani, the founder of the charity Sistah Space, “to address the incident that took place at a Palace reception last month.”
