Queen Sofia, married to former King Juan Carlos and the mother of King Felipe, also wore a bright pattern for the evening outing. Sofia, 83, sported a pink and blue blazer with matching pants along with a white top and layered necklaces.

Queen Margrethe of Denmarkhas abdicated the throne.
During a Council of State at Christiansborg Palace on Sunday, Queen Margrethe, 83, signed a declaration of her abdication, making her decision to step down as monarch official.
Queen Margrethe became monarch on Jan. 14, 1972, following the death of her father, King Frederik IX.

Days after attendingQueen Elizabeth’s funeral, Queen Margrethe of Denmark has tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Danish Royal Court.
“HM The Queen tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday evening and is now residing at Fredensborg Palace,” according to a statement on the palace’swebsiteon Wednesday. “The Queen’s activities this week have thus been canceled.”
Queen Margrethe, 82, is experiencing mild symptoms, according toReuters. In February of this year, the Danish monarch tested positive for the virus and also experienced mild symptoms.

“My heart is full! Couldn’t ask for a better way to celebrate than with all my loved ones around me,” Rania captioned the snap, where she smiled with one arm around her future son-in-law and the other around her future daughter-in-law.
Continuing the birthday festivities, the Queen revealed on her Instagram Story that her team gave her a “lovely surprise” of two birthday cakes.
