A Texas man and his 1-year-old daughter are both dead after authorities say that he stabbed her to death and then fatally stabbed himself during a standoff with police.
According to police, the incident began when 24-year-old Alexander Barrios Ordoñez went to a business in Rosenburg, Texas, on Tuesday night. He got into an argument with his former employer and stabbed him. He then fled in the man’s tow truck.

A Texas mother was fatally shot at her 6-year-old child’s birthday party, according to Houston police.
Jalin J. Foreman, 27, surrendered to Houston on Monday, Sept. 16 and was booked into the Harris County jail. He is facing a murder charge, per the complaint.
A witness told police that during the party, Foreman drove up to the home, shot at least five times at the townhouse, and started screaming, “I’m not scared of you,” “I know where you live,” and “Come at me,” according to the complaint.

A Texas man is facing criminal charges after an argument with his veterinarian father-in-law turned deadly inside a Fort Worth bar.
Online jial records confirm that John Birdwell, 38, has been charged with injury to an elderly person with intent with serious bodily injury following the August 12 attack on 66-year-old Dr. Robert Bearden at Woody’s Tavern.
Bearden, who was a veterinarian at VCA Mercedes Place Animal Hospital in Benbrook, died at the hospital on August 13, PEOPLE learns.

A Texas man was on a FaceTime call with his girlfriend when he was fatally shot, police say.
According to local media outletABC13, the shooting occurred on Thursday at around 8:40 p.m. at a home in northeast Houston.
Houston Fire Department paramedics were reportedly the first ones to arrive at the scene, where they found a 45-year-old man who had been shot twice in the chest.
