On Jan. 4, an Olmsted grand jury indicted Connor Bowman, 30, on an upgraded charge of first-degree premeditated murder as well as second-degree murder with intent, the Olmsted County Attorney’s Office announced in apress statement.
Bowman had initially been charged with second-degree murder following his arrest on Oct. 20, 2023. If convicted of the first degree murder charge, Bowman “shall be sentenced to life in prison without possibility of release,” the Olmsted County Attorney’s Office said.

Swedish pole vaulter Armand “Mondo” Duplantis commemorated his latest Olympic win with a celebration fit for the “city of love.”
The 24-year-old athlete was photographed embracing and kissing his girlfriend, Desire Inglander. after he broke the world record for pole vaulting and earned a gold medal at the2024 Paris Olympicson Monday, Aug. 5.
Duplantis could be seen running over to Inglander, who was in tears after his win, and hugging her.

An Alabama police officer allegedly handcuffed a man’s wrist so tightly that it had to be amputated, the man claimed in a 2021 lawsuit that is now headed to trial, per reports.
According to the complaint, Giovanni Loyola was in his Pinson, Ala., home in February 2020 when deputies Christopher Godber, Ashanti McKinney and Jared White came to his door regarding complaints alleging that two men were fighting and had weapons.

The Las Vegas Metro Police Department has released bodycam footage from the officers whoarrested former NFL star Marshawn LynchTuesday for an alleged DUI.
“Lynch stated that he was not drinking and he does not do drugs, but that he stole the vehicle,” per the report.
The former NFL star, who was parked with the car off during the interaction, repeatedly asked officers to explain to him “the problem” or, reason for their stop, as seen in the footage.
